How to Search
Searching here is simple, and it shows you far more than anywhere else.
Type a word, or digits. Enter a word or phrase related to your business, or enter the digits you already have in mind. We translate between letters and numbers for you, so you can search it either way.
You'll see all 7 toll free area codes, and the phone companies they're with if they're in use, in the first box; and all the local area codes in your state, with who they were assigned to and when, in the second box.
We can't get you every number, but we show you every single number, NOT just the ones we want to sell you. We're the only site anywhere on the web that shows you:
- numbers potentially available from other vendors
- local numbers you might be able to get yourself
- numbers that nobody can get you, though we'll monitor those for you in case something changes
Our homepage says "EVERY number in North America" because we mean it. We can't get you numbers active with someone else, but we give you as much information as possible and make the whole process open and transparent. This is probably harder and more complicated than you realized at first, but it's probably also way more valuable than you realized.
The single most important piece of advice when searching for numbers is to be more creative and thorough. If a number isn't available, don't stick your head in the sand and decide that if you can't get the first number you wanted, you'll just quit. Your business still needs a front door. You probably didn't get the very first domain name you searched for either, but that didn't stop you from building a good website. You may have to be a little more creative and dig a little deeper to find the best available number for your business. We've done this for over 30 years and give you a huge variety of tools and options, and we're here to help you find the best possible front door to your business.
