There are many things that you just have to do yourself in life, such as asking out that girl or studying for a test. Then there are some things that are just much better if you do them for yourself such as shopping for a car or organizing your desk or your files.

Sometimes it’s easier to do a search for someone than to explain politely that it’s better for them to do it themselves. The same thing happens with picking up the toys of my 1 and 4 year old. Sometimes it’s easier to just pick up a toy or two. But unfortunately that weakens them and takes more and more of my time.

And emailing a search engine and waiting for an employee of the search engine to email you back would be a pretty silly way to search for something. It’s just as silly to email me your words and wait for me to see your email, enter the terms for you, and then expect me to email you back the results, when you could enter them yourself in less time than it took to find my email address.
