Sometimes phone company representatives confuse the date for getting something done by with a date that it’s not supposed to get done UNTIL. When you order something, most companies give you a date that delivery is expected by. But it’s a date that it’s supposed to get done by, not the date it’s not supposed to get done until.

I explained in a previous post how phone company representatives often give out the worst case scenario in terms of the transfer speeds, and in order to lower expectations because they don’t control how long the releasing company will take to release the number.

The Due Date is another version of that because when they project due dates they have to figure in for a slow releasing company and give them extra time for the processing as well too. But the phone company representative really makes it worse when they quote the due date as a reason why it’s not working yet. Or worse yet sometimes they treat the due date as if that is a built in delay that it somehow can’t be set up until then.

Due dates aren’t the average time it takes to complete, they are the maximum time it should take. And there is NO reason that completing something can’t be done in less time than the maximum time, except in the government or motor vehicle office!
